VR
The m-process is a VR experience that takes its starting point in the nuclide chart and the chains of reactions related to the r-process, p-process, s-process, etc, undestanding them as a kind of syntax of physics. From this point, the artwork shifts its focus to a position more centered in poetry and metaphors as catalyst for new possibilities and open meanings, creating an environment where collisions between protons, neutrons and neutrinos lead to new visuals, sounds, texts in an ever-changing arena.
In the interactive VR environment we find a field with spheres that stand for protons, neutrons and neutrinos through analogies and metaphoric links:
- Protons in physics are the words in language, here symbolized by fire
- Neutrons in physics are silences in language, here symbolized by water
- Neutrinos in physics are secrets in language, here symbolized by air
The person interacting becomes thus the force that creates reactions between particles, giving birth to new elements (in this case, visuals, sounds and texts that appear for a short time whith each collision between different spheres to vanish again).
